Pivotal to any church is the spiritual maturity of its members. Salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ is the beginning of an eternal relationship that we enjoy with the majestic Creator of the universe. God desires that we mature in our faith. He does not want us to be stagnant in our spiritual walk with Him any more than we would expect infants to continue feeding on soft food, we also need to become mature in our faith to develop and satisfy our appetite for the spiritual “meat” of God’s Word.
