Worship
The worship services at First Baptist Church of Hartland are the apex of the ministry here. The worship service is prayerfully designed to focus completely on Christ by exalting and glorifying Him in every detail. Currently, we meet for worship every Sunday morning at 10:00 and Sunday evening at 5:30. At First Baptist Church we are under the strong conviction that worship is a multi-faceted experience. We do not merely worship the Lord by offering Him praise through music, but we also honor Him through being fed His Word, in our cheerful giving to further His Kingdom, as well as faithfully using our gifts in service. We strongly believe that we have a beautiful blend of traditional hymns of the faith with worship-ful contemporary songs which all have a common denominator: to praise and exalt our risen Savior.
AWANA
Children’s Ministry
Our Preschool-6th graders enjoy an exciting time every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 learning about God’s Word, enjoying fast-paced games, and fun activities. The AWANA program at First Baptist is one of the key ministries in the church. We recognize the importance of training our children in the ways of the Lord. God has given us a window of opportunity to influence them in a positive way. AWANA is just one tool to assist us as parents to teach our children that our faith impacts every aspect of our lives.

The Squad
Teen Youth Group
The Squad is our Teen Ministry. Devoted to the high-octane years we normally call adolescence, The Squad has a committed mission. The teenage years can be a very volatile tile not only for the teen, but also for the parents. It is all the more important for us to channel those energies into positive and productive times of spiritual growth. Our desire with The Squad is o help equip our students to make their faith their own and to develop a passion to share how Christ has impacted them personally. We seek to do this in providing a place where we worship God with our praise, study His Word to understand His purpose and will for life, enjoying fun activities, as well as involving ourselves in acts of service to put our faith into practice.
Discipleship I & II
For new and growing Christians
Pivotal to any church is the spiritual maturity of its members. Salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ is the beginning of an eternal relationship that we enjoy with the majestic Creator of the universe. God desires that we mature in our faith. He does not want us to be stagnant in our spiritual walk with Him any more than we would expect infants to continue feeding on soft food, we also need to become mature in our faith to develop and satisfy our appetite for the spiritual “meat” of God’s Word. If you are a new believer and are interested in taking your faith seriously to the next level, please contact Pastor Bowser.
Men’s Discipleship Ministry
The Men’s Discipleship Ministry recognizes the importance of the role of men in the church and in the home. We seek to defy the stereotypical image of male leadership by emphasizing the biblical model of the type of husband and father a man who is solidly founded on the Word of God should look like. In a world which seems to emphasize the exact opposite where men are expected to grab what they want, to get ahead no matter who they hurt in the process, we as believers need to filter out the white noise of the world’s standards and to come together in a place where we can feel comfortable seeking to be the men God intended us to be; to share our struggles, hurts, and failures as well as cheering one another on as God gives victory in our lives. Frankly, life is a series of roller coasters. God desires that we not pretend that we have it all together. Instead, He would rather us to come alongside one another and provide encouragement, prayer, and brotherhood. We seek to do that by means of meeting with one another in groups of three. Meeting in this manner has several advantages. The group is not too big so as to facilitate sharing and more interaction. Yet, it isn’t too small so that we are all on the same playing field without the typical “teacher-student” meeting.
C2 College& Career Ministry
Singles 18-29 are invited to attend our College & Career Sunday class which meets every Sunday morning from 9:00-9:45. This is a unique transitional time in every person’s life. As such, we need God’s wisdom and direction to help us to make the right decisions. Join us as we look at various areas in life we have in common and seek to study God’s Word together in order to understand the direction God is leading us and how in all things we can live a life that is honoring and pleasing to Him.
Encourager’s Women’s Ministry
The Encourager’s is our Women’s Ministry which meets to pray for one another, fellowship, and of course, to encourage one another in their walk with the Lord. Life can be a difficult road to travel. It is best done in the direction of the Lord as well as having someone you know who is attentive to your needs and has a deep desire to see you through. The Encouragers meet regularly to accomplish this very thing.
ReFuel
ReFuel is our monthly outreach geared to target teens and young adults. ReFuel is where meaningful, powerful worship and practical, relevant Bible teaching meet. The reason for the existence of ReFuel as an outreach venue is for the explicit purpose of utilizing tangible and relevant means to meet young people where they are to create an environment specifically for them so that they would have an opportunity to hear the Gospel message clearly presented and to witness the Christian life firsthand within the perimeters of Scripture as well as the constitution of First Baptist Church of Hartland. Our key verse is 1 Corinthians 9:22b, “I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.”
Children’s Church
First Baptist Church of Hartland is a wonderful place for young children. We whole-heartedly believe that the seeds that we plant within our children while they are young is essential if we desire for them to desire to make their faith their own as they grow older. It is imperative for us as parents to plant a true desire to follow God and to model our faith by our actions and attitudes. So, as we remain faithful to being fed the Word of God each week, our children are also being equipped by loving and capable servants to learn about the Word of God as well.
Sunday School
Here at First Baptist Church of Hartland, we truly value Sunday School. We recognize it as a time of truly digging deeply into the Word of God. We learn from one another and glean from others. The Sunday School classroom offers an incredible venue to study the Word of God under the presence of gifted and qualified teacher who facilitate discussion and challenge us to not only understand what God’s Word is saying, but most importantly how we can sense a challenge to incorporate it into our lives. We truly believe that God challenges us each day to seek Him humbly understanding that as we approach His Word that there is something that He desires to change in our lives. Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Hartland provides a comfortable environment for everyone to study the Bible, interact, ask questions, as well as praying for one another as to how we can all incorporate the Bible’s clear direction in our lives.
